I went knowing I wasn't going to get indepth characters, or a serious plot. True, Bloom's performance wasn't anything to write home about, nor Knightly's, but that's okay in this kind of movie. Maybe it's that I love pirates (at least the funny, Disneyfied kind) and it's not much of a stretch of my willing suspention of disbelief to gaze over the silly bits of a swashbuckling movie. That and Depp. I really like him anyway, but his Sparrow is genius! I'm looking forward to the next one, just to see how it all works out. But I do like your title...snappy!
